Estate Planning and Probate

Fundamentally, estate planning is about stewardship and providing for your loved ones.  Matthew has helped countless individuals ensure that their assets are protected now and after they are gone.  Nee Law’s estate planning team will listen intently to your goals, offer counsel as to the many ways of achieving them, and will put in place an affordable and effective plan that suits your needs.  And, when a loved-one passes, Nee Law Firm will stand beside you with compassion and guide you through the probate process.

Church/Non-Profit

Matthew is general counsel to several non-profits and churches of various denominations, ranging in size from a few hundred to several thousand.  He works closely with them to help them understand their constitutional and legal rights and obligations.  This is a challenging time for churches, as they navigate ever-changing laws and societal norms.  Matthew strives to inform and counsel church leaders so they may confidently advance their ministries.

Commercial Litigation and Appeals

Matthew has represented individuals and companies, including Newell Rubbermaid, Schaeffer Manufacturing, and Travelers Insurance in state and federal litigation.  As a former judicial attorney to Ohio’s Chief Justice and to the longest tenured judge at Ohio’s largest intermediate appellate court, Matthew knows how to advocate for his clients in ways that speak to courts.
